What term refers to the complete set of genetic material in an organism's cells?

Genome

The complete set of genetic material in an organism’s cells is called the genome. The genome includes all the DNA that carries hereditary information, encompassing every gene and the noncoding regions as well. Genes are individual instructions within the genome that code for proteins or functional RNA; they’re parts of the genome, not the entire set. Chromosomes are the physical structures that organize and package DNA, but they’re about organization rather than the total content. The proteome, on the other hand, is the full set of proteins that can be produced from the genome’s information, not the genetic material itself. So, the genome is the full genetic blueprint of the organism.
